Old Gentlemen’s (OGs) Fish Fry Fund-raiser
Saturday, August 20th from 12 PM to 8 PM at the Rock Bottom, 3801 Tchoupitoulas. The OGs are a club raising money to help kids in our neighborhood. They are a group of men who have been through some hard times themselves and are eager to keep young men and women in the Irish Channel out of trouble. Fish, potato, green beans and macaroni plates will be available for purchase at $7 a plate. The OGs have already pledged money to support the LBB along with several other causes.
The Princess and the Frog at Annunciation Square
Friday, August 26th at 7:45 PM at Annunciation Square. The Lyons-Burke Booster club was chosen as the official host of the first NORDC sponsored Movie in the Park. The LBB will have a concession stand with chips, cokes, nachos, water and candy available for purchase. We are looking for a few volunteers to sell concessions so please reply to me if interested. The ICNA will also host a movie night at Burke Park (Clay Square) later in the fall. Stay tuned for more details.
