The Irish Channel Neighborhood Association (ICNA) was incorporated in 1974 by a group of Irish Channel residents. After a brief hiatus, the organization reformed in 1995 and is active in all areas of neighborhood development and advocacy.
The Irish Channel Neighborhood Association consists of a group of dedicated and concerned neighbors working together with a vision to restore safety and security for all, to respect the diversity of our neighbors, and to work towards a better quality of life for all the residents of the Irish Channel.
ICNA is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization as recognized by the IRS Tax Code, since 1974.
Membership is open to any resident or business located in the Irish Channel. Dues are $15 per individual, $25 per family, or $75 per busines, and they are collected annually.
ICNA is governed by a Board of Directors and Executive Officers. The Board consists of those elected annually by the members of the Association.
Board meetings are held quarterly and are open meetings. General membership meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM at 819 First Street (Irish Channel Christian Fellowship), and are open to the public.
