Soraparu Replanting

Replanting

The Irish Channel had another park improvement day, in large part due to the efforts of YLC (Young Leadership Council) and some donated tree.  Previous renovations, NORD (2003), Kaboom (2008) left the park with great playground equipment.  Now we have added dozens of Crepe Myrtles, a few Japanese Magnolias , and 2 Sycamores which will grow into a beautiful canopy for the park.  A few benches, basket ball court striping, and other additions were also complete by the wonderful volunteers.  Thanks YLC and all those involved.   The park is a wonderful place for the community: All of the families in the neighborhood, and  parents and kids leaving the nearby Waldorf School are attracted to the park every day.  We are excited to see the continued community support and involvement.
